Hello all,
I received a free copy of this book by the book’s publishers via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Thank you so much for letting me read this!
When it comes to Rick Riordan, you know it’s going to be a good read. This book does not stray from this and it certainly didn’t disappoint.
In this series Zeus has turned Apollo into a mortal human for the third time. This time Apollo’s going to need a long hard look at himself. Apollo’s egotistical ways have allowed chaos to ensue on Earth and he’s not even noticed…
When Apollo crash lands to Earth in human form he doesn’t think things can get much worse. For a start, he has acne! The humour at this realisation is hilarious and thoroughly entertaining.
I think this may be one of my favourite Rick Riordan books. I’ve not read all of the Camp Half-Blood books but I don’t think you need to in order to appreciate this book.
There aren’t many books I tend to read which are written in first person. It’s quite a refreshing change and Riordan executes this perfectly. It really allows for strong character development and makes the readier empathise far more with Apollo.
I definitely want to read more in this series. I thoroughly recommend giving this a read.
