Hi there friends,
I’m extremely excited to finally be reviewing the latest in the Dark Child (Covens Rising) series! They’re just addictive and I’m seriously hooked. I can’t believe that the next book isn’t out until next year! What am I supposed to do until then? Anyway, lets get on with the review…
I received an eBook copy of this book from the publishers via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
This series just gets more and more addictive to read! This book is technically the sixth book in the series, so be warned before reading the Covens Rising series you need to read Dark Child: Omnibus Edition first and then read through the episodes in numerical order. They’re definitely worth reading though!
Kat must prepare for a huge change to her life again. The arrival of her grandmother will change everything. Who is she really? Who should she support in this? War is declared and Kat’s role in this is even greater than she thought it to be. Whether certain members truly care for Kat’s welfare becomes questionable and is she truly safe? With her long list of protectors, you’d think that Kat would be safe, right? Think again. Meanwhile Yara and Ben’s safety is on the brink. Separate, but for the time being safe. But for how long?
This series just keeps getting better. Upon the end of reading this book, I said aloud “You can’t just leave it there!” That pretty much sums up my feelings with this book. So many more questions, problems and decisions need to still be made by the end of the book it just leaves you desperate for them to be tied up! It didn’t even feel like an ending to the book and I was honestly quite shocked it was the end. Then to find out the next book isn’t going to be released until next year just makes it even harder to come to terms with.
I can’t wait for the next book to be released and really enjoyed reading this fabulous series! If you like paranormal, suspense, mystery and vampires this is the book series for you and I just can’t recommend it enough.
