When Alice and Leo move into a newly renovated house in The Circle, a gated community of exclusive houses, it is everything they’ve dreamed of. But appearances can be deceptive…

As Alice is getting to know her neighbours, she discovers a devastating, grisly secret about her new home, and begins to feel a strong connection with Nina, the therapist who lived there before.

Alice becomes obsessed with trying to piece together what happened two years before. But no one wants to talk about it. Her neighbours are keeping secrets and things are not as perfect as they seem…

The million-copy Sunday Times bestselling author B A Paris returns to her heartland of gripping psychological suspense in this powerful tale of a house that holds a shocking secret.

The story is told from Alice’s point of view. She’s just moved in with her boyfriend, Leo into a gated community in the centre of London. She thinks that all of her dreams are being realised and that they can begin their future together. However, she doesn’t realise that there are secrets everywhere in this new community, starting with her own boyfriend. He’s purchased a property where a woman was murdered in her bedroom. Alice struggles to believe the stories her neighbours tell her about the murder and she becomes obsessed with finding out the truth.

This book was so tense and eventful that I was gripped from the first page. I could have finished it in one sitting and ended up taking the book into work to read on my lunch break because I needed to know what happened next! If there’s one thing you need to know about B. A. Paris, it’s that her writing will keep you on tenterhooks, I was kept right at the edge of my seat!

With a cast of interesting characters and a plot that will keep you guessing until the very end, this is a book you don’t want to miss out on.

I was sent a proof copy of the book in exchange for an honest review. Thank you so much to HQ because I adored reading this.
